We have worked with 200+ artisans in the Ecuadorian Amazon since 2016. The collections for this year are made by 14 women artisans from the indigenous Kichwa community of Serena. We are always growing our support for local artisans and have plans for new collections with other communities in 2024 &#8211; stay tuned!

Who are the artisans behind the clothing?

Hakhu women artisans are the project &#8211; they participate in everything. Your purchases support women with living wages for their artisanal products, modeling services, training and capacity-building, and our social investment programs. The Hakhu Foundation has channeled direct investments of $120K+ in Amazonian communities since its inception.

How do my purchases support local artisans?

Orders inside of Ecuador can expect to receive shipments within 2 weeks, orders outside of Ecuador can expect to be received within a month. Orders for out-of-stock products take a bit longer because our artisans have to work to build stock. We will let you know if this is the case. Keep in mind that our artisans work in Amazonian communities so our logistics are a bit complex and add to the cost of shipping. We are so grateful for your support!
